Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 1, 2026 · Publisher: Happy Forge Labs
This policy covers the Happy Forge Labs website (happyforgelabs.com) and our mobile apps, including the games Carrycade, Clamber, Coalesce, and Smelt, connected apps such as Tiny Table, and future titles we release under Happy Forge Labs, collectively “our apps.” Some apps collect more than others. Where an app publishes its own privacy supplement, that supplement is the more specific description for that app and this policy governs the rest.
The short version
Our gamesare single-player and playable offline. You don't need an account, and for those games we don't run servers or collect your personal information ourselves. Your game progress stays on your device. The only data collection there happens through optional third-party services: advertising, in-app purchases, and (on the website) an email newsletter, and only when those are active, as described below.
Our connected apps, such as Tiny Table, work differently: they need an account, they store your data on a server so it can sync between people or devices, and they use a small number of service providers to do it. Each connected app publishes a privacy supplement setting out exactly what it collects and how to delete it. Tiny Table's is at happyforgelabs.com/tinytable/privacy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-app tracking or advertising profiling in our connected apps.
1. Game data stored on your device
Progress, scores, unlocks, settings, and the “Remove Ads” purchase flag are saved locally on your device (Android local storage). This data is never sent to us and is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data. Our games have no login, no user profiles, and no Happy Forge backend; we cannot see your gameplay.
2. Third-party services in our games (only when enabled)
Depending on the build and the features you use, these Google/partner services may process data under their own privacy policies:
- Advertisements (Unity LevelPlay and its mediated ad networks). If ads are enabled, the ad SDK and its mediated networks (e.g. Unity Ads, AppLovin) may collect a device advertising ID, device identifiers, coarse location derived from IP address, and ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads: capped interstitials at natural breaks, and optional, opt-in rewarded ads you choose to watch for in-game benefits. Ads are configured as non-child-directed (general audience). You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
- In-app purchases (Google Play Billing).Purchases such as “Remove Ads” are processed by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment details, only a local flag that the purchase is owned. Remove Ads suppresses interstitial ads only; optional watch-to-earn rewarded ads remain available.
- Google Play Games Services (optional, some titles).Where a game offers leaderboards or achievements and you sign in with Google Play Games, Google processes your Play Games profile and submitted scores under Google's privacy policy. Sign-in is optional; the game works fully without it.
3. The website & newsletter
If you subscribe to our mailing list at happyforgelabs.com, we collect your email address to send you launch news and updates. Emails are delivered through our email provider (Beehiiv), which processes your address on our behalf. Every email includes an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing removes you from the list. We don't share or sell the list.
4. Children
Our apps are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads are configured as non-child-directed.
5. Data retention & deletion
- On-device game data: delete it by uninstalling the app or clearing its data in Android settings.
- Ad / purchase / Play Games data: retained and deletable per the relevant provider's policy (links below).
- Newsletter: unsubscribe via any email, or write to us and we'll remove your address.
- Connected apps: delete your account in the app, or use the app's web deletion route. For Tiny Table that is happyforgelabs.com/tinytable/delete-account. The app's privacy supplement sets out what is removed and what survives.
6. Your choices
- Reset/limit ad personalization: Android Settings → Privacy → Ads (advertising ID).
- Buy Remove Ads to remove interstitial ads.
- Play fully offline: with no network, no third-party data collection occurs.
- Skip Play Games sign-in where offered; unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.
7. Your privacy rights, and how to exercise them
Depending on where you live you have rights over the personal information we hold. These rights matter most for our connected apps, since our games hold no personal information on our servers to act on.
- Access and portability: ask what we hold about you and get a copy in a portable format.
- Correction: ask us to fix information that is wrong or incomplete.
- Deletion: ask us to delete your account and personal information. In our connected apps you can also do this yourself, see section 5.
- Objection and restriction: ask us to stop or limit certain processing, including product analytics.
- Withdraw consent: where we rely on consent, such as push notifications, withdraw it at any time without affecting past processing.
- No discrimination: we will not give you a worse service for exercising any of these rights.
How to exercise them. Email privacy@happyforgelabs.com from the address on your account, or tell us enough to identify your account. We respond within 30 days, and will tell you if we need longer where the law allows an extension. We do not charge for this. You may use an authorised agent where your local law provides for one.
Legal bases (UK and EU).Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we process your information to perform our contract with you (running the app you signed up for), on the basis of your consent (push notifications, and analytics where consent is required), and for our legitimate interests in keeping the service reliable and secure (crash diagnostics and abuse prevention). You can complain to your local supervisory authority, in the UK the Information Commissioner's Office, and we would appreciate the chance to address it first.
US state privacy laws. Residents of California and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have the access, correction, deletion, and portability rights above. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA as amended, and we do not process it for cross-context behavioural advertising in our connected apps.
Where your information is processed. Our service providers are located in the United States, so information collected in the UK, EU, or elsewhere is transferred there. Where required, those transfers rely on the UK and EU Standard Contractual Clauses or another approved safeguard, and our providers are bound to process your information only on our instructions.
Security. Data is encrypted in transit, encrypted at rest by our providers, and access is restricted to the people who need it to run the service. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will tell you and the relevant regulator about a breach affecting your information where the law requires it.
